Me and my med school friends had an assignment to visit school for students with special needs education and to observe how they interact with each other. This experience was truly AMAZING !!! The whole day, i was feeling HAPPY and so GARTEFUL.This experience truly open my eyes to simple things that we tend to forget. Simple things that we should be gratefull for every single day. Each day we can wake up to see the sunrise, to hear the noise of any chirping sound of a bird in the morning, and breath fresh air. While there are others that are born with impairments or disability to do those things. I saw so many new faces, happy faces, at that school. Even with any limitation that these innocent kids had, there are one thing in common between all of them : "They have a BIG smile on there faces!". They can still be happy in any condition they are in.
Sometimes when we are so tired with so many problems in our life, we
complain too much and take things for granted. But with this experience,
it made me realize again how there is so many thing to appreciate
around me . I realized all the things I’d been given are not rights,
but privileges. I realized there are people out there who don’t have
their five senses, and to have mine is a gift, Alhamdulillah.
Sometimes it’s easy to feel bad because we’re going through a tough
time in life. However, remember no matter how bad your situation may
seem, there are tens of thousands of things to be grateful for in life
...
